The movie the Lion King is one of my favorite movies! It shows what it is like to be a lion. Also it demonstrates betrayal, and overcoming a fear.
This movie is about a little lion named Simba, who when he grows up is going to be the King of Pride Rock. When he was younger his dad died and Simba was tricked by his uncle, Scar to believe that it was his fault! He ran away to live somewhere else. So will Mufusa, Simba’s dad, dead and Simba gone, the throne was left empty. So Scar took over, and he made the hyena’s live with the lions. All the other animals moved away, and the pride was forced to leave pride rock or to starve to death. Nala, one of Simba’s childhood friends goes to seek food and almost eats’ one of Simba’s friends! Nala tells Simba what has been happening at home. Simba is to afraid to go back because of his past. He’s left with the decision, to do what’s right, or to keep living his life.
I thought this was a great movie because, it showed that everyone has responsibilities; even lions. Also I thought it was very life like. It also gave me a picture of what it would really be like to go to Africa in the wild. I thought this movie was a four. It was violent, which for a younger kid could be very frighening. Also it showed that disrespecting your parents is okay, which it is not.
This movie is not based off a book. After the movie however, there was little kid books made about this book. And also the Lion King Two. I would highly recommend seeing this movie because it’s a good movie for the young and old.
